The lesson from This is it!

Last friday, Chung Chung, Kingman and myself, together we went to cinema and watched Michael Jackson's This is it!

It was a spontaneous decision, so I had to skip the lesson with Chung Chung, but I have learnt one myself from the movie.

There was a period of time that I would watch the MTV of  "Smooth Criminal"," Beat it" and inevitably "Billie Jean" on a daily basis, but I am not a die hard Michael Jackson fan and don't think I'll ever turn into one, even after watching the movie...(feeling a big but coming right?)

BUT!!!

It really makes me feel more respect and impressed of Michael Jackson's unsurpassive talent as an artist.

After watching the movie, I couldn't help but thinking about the differences between Michael Jackson and local Hong Kong pop stars, obviously there's no point of comparing Michael Jackson with them, but... shit (excuse my french, but I just can't express it clear enough without being vulgar)!!!

There's just too much of a difference in terms of talent and most likely the effort and dedication of mastering the craft.

As an artiste myself, I was most moved when Michael said this in the movie:

... we are going to take them(audience) to the place that they have never been to and we are going to show them the talent like they have never seen before...

This is it!

This should be the goal or the belief for any artist in fact anyone in creative industry.

May the force be with me so that someday I can have the power to transport my audience...
